Help finding a Boat Mover in the Southeast

Hello fellow sailors,

I had a local boat mover lined up to move my 36', 21,000 lb sailboat from central Mississippi to Biloxi - ~170 miles. Quoted $1,800. He has a Hydraulic Trailer so no crane required.
This was the plan. I needed a few more weeks to finish a couple more refit projects, get the survey and insurance complete. And then Ian blew in! All the movers in my area hauled ass to pick up that cash cow! (I need a crystal ball)

I have been looking for a mover ever since then. The only quote I've received so far is a long deadhead from Texas - $6400! for 170 mile move - crap! I moved the boat from North Carolina for $4500.
So if you know of a Boat mover in the Southeast, preferably with a hydraulic trailer, please post it here. I would greatly appreciate the help!
Cheers Jim.

Contact Sailors Moving Sailors. I used them to bring my boat from Deltaville, VA to Tennessee and was really impressed with their service and price.

Thank you for your response -

I did try them and they wouldn't even give me a quote because they are too booked up for the next three months.

Boat moves have to be planned months in advance. You're not going to find anyone standing empty waiting for you to call. They plan this stuff to avoid as many dead heads as possible. 3 months is pretty quick - quicker than I got it done.

They wouldn't even quote it because it was going to be Three months. I was willing to wait.

And if it had not been for Ian, My local mover was going to move it in a couple weeks after I called him. I was able to book a move from North Carolina in less than a weeks notice.

Unfortunately, Ian has a lot of our local movers tied up.
