Henderson Bilge Pump Repair

Hi folks;

My manual bilge pump is a Henderson P7/L Mk 3, and it needs some TLC. My googling tells me that parts might be hard to get. Any clues to finding parts would be much appreciated.

Lockie,

I use the Henderson pumps for our Lavac heads and I get the rebuild kits from Lavac.

I believe that I was told the diaphragm for the 3 and the 5 are the same, but you have to buy the entire rebuild kit, and none of the other parts are the same. I wound up buying the mark 5.

I liked the cam lever cover of the 3. The screw on cover for the 5 almost needed a hammer to loosen, and when I put it back on it had to be tightened very tight to not leak.

Anyone know if a Mk V fits the same holes as a Mk 3?

No it doesn't. Guy at Whale thought it did, but he was wrong.

Re: Henderson Bilge Pump Repair

Bugger. Might try and make a home-brew neoprene diaphragm. Otherwise, more patching and filling.........
