how do I remove cured awlwood from fiberglass?

I am redoing the Varnish on my 424. I’m using Allwood with good results, but I have a lot of dripping from the toe rail that has run down onto the fiberglass. It’s been on there for several days and cured-acetone doesn’t touch it. what’s my next step MEK? Isa chisel or razor will remove the drip, but a thin film seems to remain behind. Anyone with experience I appreciate your thoughts.

MEK will not touch this stuff once cured. It is virtually identical in solvent properties to acetone.

I think mechanical removal and compounding to remove residue is your best bet.

Next time, mask better. It ALWAYS saves time in the long run, as you are discovering.

Razor blades, sandpaper, compound.

Jammer pretty much nailed it. The amount of dripping was incredible-I've done lots of varnish work, but awlwood is kind of tricky to apply on vertical surfaces. I did , of course, mask first. Next time I would drape plastic sheeting. Since I needed to compound the hull anyway, I scraped and compounded the drips away.
