How often do you haul out your boat?

Once a year whether I need it or not. Like showers....

It seems to depend on the the year and the paint. Here in the PNW with cold water, the only reason for me to be out is to re-spray the prop and inspect all the through hulls and naturally to make her pretty. I have lots of regular work to do on her. Luckily there are no mechanical issues yet (knock knock).

Every time I come back to home port. The boat lives on the hard.

Every couple of years unless for a reason out the normal...

We haul every two to three years for bottom paint. Usually we can make it coincide with being in a good location for a haulout.

Every year: the water is very fertile here, with weeds, barnacles and a mussel farm nearby.

Until last year, the boat was on a swinging mooring. Hauling out was a good occasion for general maintenance (easier on the hard), in addition to bottom scrubbing and painting.

This year, the program is to change the shrouds and check the keel bolts.
