I just read over my post and see that I managed to repeat myself about heat to the point of becoming annoying. That's what I get for writing in more than one sitting. Nevertheless, heat is the key.

I happen to be in NC also but not near the coast. You might try September Signs in Wilmington. I assume they are still there. The sign business has taken a real beating recently.

Failing this, look for a FastSigns or Sign-A-Rama USA or any other vinyl shop. The key is to make sure that they use an appropriate grade of vinyl.
