In Line fuse, House Batteries

Insurance survey states that I must install an inline fuse within 7" of the house battery bank (4, 6v golf cart) positive terminal. What size? How do you calculate size?

You do it by wire size, not by how much current you can draw, you fuse to protect wiring, so a fuse just a bit smaller than max capacity for the size wire you have.
I use these, dead easy to install. Connects right to the battery
