Is my mast anodized or not?

Does anyone have any tricks or hacks or ways to tell if a mast is bare aluminum or anodized. I am refitting/rerigging a 20’ boat as a cat rigged ketch and am using 2 repurposed Albacore masts which are sound but in serious need of a good cleaning. It seems some mast cleaners are meant for bare aluminum and some are for anodized. I just want to clean them up. They don’t have to be perfec or polished bright and painting is out of the question for a number of reasons. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

Either way would clean w/vinegar.

With a sharp object, the same fingernail, make a very small mark in an area that you don't mind, the foot of the mast for example, if it appears as a white mark is anodized.

just put ohmeter leads against it. If non-conductive, its anodized... But, pick a non-corroded spot for the test.
