Re: LED Replacement

Marine beam and Imtra both offer nearly identical replacement bulbs. We have a lot of each. Marine Beam also has a lot of really nice other products & a great tutorial on current regulation. Marine LED Lighting and Replacement LED bulbs for Boats, RV's - 12V, 24V

Can't see the connector in the socket, single point, dual point/bayonet, screw in ?. If its a dual point bayonet, a G-4 adapter, will give you a lot of options, for LED replacement discs.
In a multitude of colors too.

Re: LED Replacement

NCSailor,

Purchased several bulbs from marinebeam.com and have been very happy with products and service. I purchased the 7 watt Edison base that will fit in the socket you posted above. Actually found out it was too bright for your application and purchased several 4 watt bulbs. These are a direct replacement of the incident bulbs 12vdc that have burned out. Price is a little higher but our goal was to travel longer distances without running the engine to charge the battery banks. We've now replaced all the halogens and incidents and are now replacing the florescent. By the way the light emitted on the Edison base bulbs are warm light that is very pleasant and not the blue white of other leds.

Re: LED Replacement

Thanks all - purchased two from Marine Beam to try out. Got ship notice Friday so if I am lucky, will get them by Wednesday, we are heading to the boat Thursday morning. I've got four more to replace if all goes well.

Re: LED Replacement

If you can find an adapter to convert your socket to a twin bayonet you will save a lot of money on the leds... I paid way too much for the bulbs I put on our boat... and they are very hard to install (the bayonet type with the locking nubs seem to vary slightly)
