Looking for Custom Decal Maker for Vessel Name

I'm proud to report I bought my first boat! I'm planning to put the new name on it soon.

Anybody have any recommendations for places to order a marine grade decal?

I've looked around and only found ones that offer limited fonts. I have a special font I want to use.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Looking for Custom Decal Maker for Vessel Name

I've used this guy as he was almost half of the next highest estimate. I kept getting estimates from $50 and up, way up. He kept it under $30+$1.50 postage and sent the thing next day after the order. Not sure if he'll have the exact font you want but doesn't hurt to try. The font I wanted would've cost me with a more versatile printer/maker $200 or more so I just went with the closest reasonable match.

Re: Looking for Custom Decal Maker for Vessel Name

I used greatlettering.com and was very pleased with their price and service (No local sign shop within 50 miles) They have a selection of fonts, but if none are acceptable, you might wish to contact These Guys. As I remember, they were more expensive, but in addition to their std font collection they have a box where you can request a specific non-listed font.

Remember not to get so fancy with your font it is not readable from a distance. Especially with a USCG documented vessel. Quote from the doc center faq..."All markings may be made by any means and materials that result in durable markings and must be at least four inches in height, made in clearly legible letters of the Latin alphabet or Arabic or Roman numerals."

Good luck

I used this company

https://doityourselflettering.com/

I messed up applying the first set and they replaced it free. That was a year ago. The letters still looks great. I also got letters for my dingy from them, and they look great too.

They have great prices and fast turnaround.

I've used these guys and was very pleased with the service and the products. They even did a great job on some special logo graphics that I wanted to add to the boat.

I have used Funky Monkey, they have a lot of fonts and can condense the lettering if needed.

Funky Monkey - Boat Names - Vinyl Lettering - Boat Lettering

They are quick and shipping from the UK isn't so expensive.

Try writing East Hampton, NY in 4" lettering on a small transom of a Pearson 36.

Re: Looking for Custom Decal Maker for Vessel Name

1+ for www.doityourselflettering.com

Used them twice, good work, good pricing. Lot's of text fonts, etc.
Installation was pretty simple.

on our current boat, we wanted some graphics in addition to text,
needed graphics design service. Loved working with:

International Boat Graphics - Official Website 1.866.276.4019

---

Congrats on the new boat!
