Maple Flooring

Ive just bought 50 sqm of 3/4 thick, 4'' wide Maple flooring of random lengths, with the intention of using it inside the boat. Its been salvaged, so its fair to say its all dried out and matured.

Has anyone got experience of Maple flooring, or Maple wood in general, and could give me any tips on the best way to lay it?

Im thinking of using it in the galley, bathroom, wheelhouse and possibly saloon.
Initially I was going to route out 3/8 rebates in far eastern ply, and inlay strips, staining the ply to mimic teak and make a faux teak and holly flooring but the Maple is so cheap, it makes better sense.

As there are some 156 species of Maple, I guess you have European Maple, not North American or Asian.
Your best bet is to talk to a custom maker of fine furniture in the UK as to the best way of using your find. If you need I can dig out a contact in East Anglia.
