Mast stepping near Beaufort NC

Hi everyone,

We dropped our 67’ air draft mast on our Beneteau 45 in Norfolk to avoid Cape Hatteras. We are now in Beaufort NC and looking to have it stepped. Can anyone recommend a place to step it? Not having much luck so far.

Thanks

Ted

Portside Marina in Morehead might have a crane. If not they might allow one in. They have the space for this sort of operation dockside. If you need a rigger call Deaton's Yacht Yard in Oriental.

You might need to piece the effort together in this are.

Fairly sure Bock Marine in Beaufort can do it. They are off Adams Creek at ICW Mile Marker 196.5, just south of the Core Creek high-rise bridge. 34° 50’N 76° 42.0’W (252) 728-6855. Give them a call to make sure.

He wouldn’t be able to make it under the 65’ bridges at Core Creek or Beaufort if he did that.

Bock's crane is a true antique, but it has lifted my mast several times.

There are some minus tides on the weekend of the 14th.

I didn't remember seeing an over 65' mast specified in the original question.

Sorry if I mislead anyone.

Thanks for all the replies. We ended up heading a little farther south to Wilmington to have it done. Most places were closed until the week after thanksgiving so we motored down the ICW a little farther.

Thanks
