MAXPROP zinc “gasket”?

Replacing the zinc on a (new to me) maxprop.

Old zinc completely gone. What was left are the 3 screws, and some type of metal shim or gasket (please see picture).

What is it? Does it go back on between the new zinc and the prop hub???

Re: MAXPROP zinc “gasket”?

As said above,
I believe that is the inner metal ring cast inside the anode. The anode is a zink or aluminum cone screwed to the rear of the prop, this metal ring is inside. I get our anodes from PYI in Washington but they are available from several sources.
