Re: MD2020 High Rise Exhaust Elbow

Please read note H3 again. The 8" refers to critical dimension for installing an anti-siphoning valve which they already have. Hard to comment without knowing where exactly their water line is.

They have the bottom diagram with an aqualift muffler. Also look at the Vetus sheet page 16.

Per Vetus you can have the exhaust elbow below the waterline but need an anti-siphon valve which the have but again you need to know where the waterline is to tell if you meet the Volvo and Vetus install specs.

Epilogue - Watch this episode of Bums on a Boat !

Do NOT Underestimate the Storm Ep 135

They were moored in Luperon Harbor, Dominican Republic, when Hurricane Isaias was passing by. The mooring failed and they were running the engine at close to 3000 RPM to work there way through the field of other vessels to another mooring.

The engine that they had lost all most all hope in got them safely to their new mooring With their low rise stainless elbow.

Yeah, well, let's hope it does next, and subsequent, times as well...guess some aren't aware of superstition...or the law of averages...
