Micron CSC

Ok ok, so I'm late in life. Temp this wk is around 50F which is minimum stated for application, and might be lower by the time I'm out and ready to paint.
Any experience/advice about pushing the envelope with this product?

Re: Micron CSC

I've used it at 40 degrees with no issues. Just expect it to take longer than normal to dry.

Re: Micron CSC

I’ve used it at 45 degrees after seeing the yard guys doing bottom painting at that temperature.

Re: Micron CSC

Why not indeed. It only gonna' be getting colder and wetter making shoehorning jobs into weather windows harder. It's wide open in April if I book now.

So liasing w/other owners a gallon will produce two coats. One say 20% thin for smooth results, but I want to build up 'cause rampant green growth means lots 'o scrubbing.
Any reason I couldn't do 3 or even 4 coats?

Re: Micron CSC

I put on a coat of Micron CSC in 2019, and it still looks pretty darn good now when I pulled the boat last week.

Could be the coats of Micron CSC are building up as that was the third time I used it on this boat.

Some parts of the bottom got 2 coats as I had to buy an extra quart for some touchup that the gallon didn't cover.

Some of us that haul late and launch early in cold climates may never see a 50+ degree dry day between haul and launch.
