Moeller aluminium dip tube for diesel tanks?

My diesel tank is aluminium. It had bronze elbows with a copper dip tube brazed on. Trying to stop corrosion on this old tank I removed it and I picked up these moeller aluminium dip tube the elbow is aluminium with a nylon dip tube. The item description doesn't specify if its diesel compatible. From what I gather nylon is diesel resistant and these can be used with diesel. The only thing I can find is bad reviews due to people using them with ethanol gasoline and it destroys them. Has any one used these for diesel? After I had the unit in hand I'm in fear the fuel sloshing will eventually knock the tube off the elbow. Doesn't seem a bukket proof unit.. and advice?

Re: Moeller aluminium dip tube for diesel tanks?

I can't speak to the integity of the aluminum and nylon pick-up tube. As far as diesel oil and nylon go, there is no problem.

The usual corrosion problem with aluminum fuel tanks is small amounts of water in the bottom creating pin holes. Did you actually have a corrosion problem with a fitting above the diesel? There are bunches of bronze fittings on aluminum tanks, and I've never seen one corrode.
