Nauticat 42 retrofitting an inside steering wheel

Hello all,
I very recently purchased a Nauticat 42 (Built 1999). At the time of her build the first owners who commissioned her opted for an autopilot only in the wheelhouse. So, no steering wheel. Just the autopilot controls.
My question: is it possible to retrofit a wheel in the wheelhouse in order to allow hand steering from inside the wheelhouse by foul weather?

I am assuming you have electric hydraulic pumpset & a steering ram.
You could simply add a "jog" steering control in wheelhouse.I have even seen jog levers that look like mini steering wheels.
