After all the work you went through...this is heart breaking. I'm guessing you can't give details due to an investigation. If there is damage to your beautiful boat, I hope it ends up being superficial and doesn't delay you too long.

My thoughts are with you, Marinet... wishing a speedy and good outcome for you. You have provided a wonderful bite by bite of your rebuild journey that has given many readers here the confidence to take on bigger projects than they otherwise would have attempted... cheers, Phil

I'm so sad to hear this. We currently live above asshats with cigarettes. They are horrible selfish stupid people. I worry about them burning down the place all the time. This makes me angry. Hoping for the best for you.

Its hard to tell from the pics. Is it heat, or smoke, or burning ember fallout, or all of the above?

Re: Nauticat 52 Refit

minaret & missus,

I feel so sad for you! I'm sitting here halfway across the world and tears are streaming down my face. I feel so sad this horrible thing has happened to you; I probably can't even imagine how awful this is for you and your family.

Jim and I both wish you a speedy recovery from this horrible setback. Good luck with it. Our hearts are with you.

Ann & Jim
