Newbie - Thru hull valve maintenance

Hi,

First haul out for me... First thru hull valve maintenance. The head raw water intake valve leaks a bit when shut off. Looks like a threaded fitting spins on to the thru hull fitting. How do I disassemble? Pull the fitting? Pull the lever and associated bits?

Thanks for any pointers.
