nmea 2000 terminators

I am installing a nmea 2000 system. I have two different types of terminating plugs.

one has two pins and the other has five pins, they are all seem to be terminators does it matter which one to use. ? 2 pin or 5 pin

I’d be willing to bet that the five pin terminators are only utilizing two of the pins. The terminator simply puts a resistor across canH and canL lines.
