Re: Origo Stoves have been discontinued??

This is probably a sad alternative to an Origo, but I just bought a few of these. Will post a review in a few months when I get my stove in. They are shipped from China.

Re: Origo Stoves have been discontinued??

I contacted the CleanCook People in Sweden about whether their stoves will be available in the US and the said:

At present we are only selling our stoves in bulk to the thirld world markets. We hope to be able to start selling our stoves to the western markets this year. I will keep inform you by email when we are ready to sell in the USA.

Best regards,

They are not made anymore. Amazon lists them as not available too.

Re: Origo Stoves have been discontinued??

The Cleancook models are not clones of the Origo models but they still would be nice to have as a full-sized alternative and source for the fuel canisters.

Products – Cleancook Sweden AB

Mark-C, please let us know if you hear when and how they are available.

Re: Origo Stoves have been discontinued??

I'm looking at this thread for the first time in a while. The Origo 3000 knock-off only appears to be available in Europe. In addition to the link above, Amazon.de has it, but won't ship it to the US:

I don't see the problem; the USA is clearly a third world country! They should send them here ASAP!

Re: Origo Stoves have been discontinued??

The real question is where do you get the alcohol to run the stove?
Here in CA some stores still have some left. When they are out its a done deal. The price also reflects the supply.
Found one place but you need to buy 5G of racing fuel.

Re: Origo Stoves have been discontinued??

West Marine is still selling alcohol in Oxnard, California. My chandlery in Ventura does too. New supplies keep coming in so alcohol sold as stove fuel still seems to be available in CA.
