Places to Build in Vancouver, BC

I am looking for a place to perform a build in (or near) Vancouver BC. If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate any and all!

Shelter Island in Richmond is a DIY. Travelifts Boatyard Moorage Marina West Coast Canada

I would really like to build there but they are a tad expensive for the space I need ($900+/month for 40'x 20' shed). I could afford it but it would cut into my build budget a bit too much for my liking. I am willing to go further out of town for more decent rates.

To be filed under the "Crazy Ideas" these guys build boats on the Fraser. Don't know if they'd want to rent you a corner of their yard or not.

20 ft wide going to be wide 'nuff? I'm building a 10' wide trawler in a 20' wide shed and I wish I had about 6 more ft on each side.

Aye, I would need more space if it were a mono build. Each hull on my cat is only about 5ft wide and they are built one after the other. When it comes time for final assembly, don't think I'll need too much more room than 2ft either side or her (gulp).

Your planning on building a boat on some of the most expensive realestate in Canada. Your going to have to go a long ways out of Vancouver to drop that price down to what I would consider reasonable. Have you looked around Squamish?

Pitt river marina is cheap. Is 900 a month for one of their sheds? You may be able to build your own shed and then go by the square footage of the shed. As far as amenities go shelter island is good for someone working on a boat. Greenline is on annasis island and I would recomend going there for all of your hose and fittings as they are much less expensive than the marine stores and have everything.
