Portlight Gaskets

Hello everyone, I need some assistance with locating "gaskets" for my 4 portlights I am refitting.

I am currently refitting my 36ft Allied Princess Ketch. All four portlights leak and the plexiglass are cracked with age and need replacing. I foolishly removed all 4 windows thinking I could find a seller who sells the type of gaskets holding the plexiglass.

I have purchased 3/16 sheet of Lexan, but I cannot find a company that sells the type of gaskets. Can anyone help?

I have attached two pictures of the gaskets below.

Re: Portlight Gaskets

Have you tried Googling "gasket materials" plus your location? You're looking for an industrial area and the gasket shops usually sell a wide variety. I'd take the piece in with me, to try and match it. It's a long time since I was in such a shop, but last time I was in one, there was material similar to what your picture shows, but that was here in Oz, not MD. But such a shop would likely have something that would do, even if it isn't exactly the same. Another thing to check is weather stripping: it comes in a wide variety of thickness.

Surely you can get something suitable in a cartridge?

Re: Portlight Gaskets

Go to a place that specializes in O-rings and seals.
You can get O-rings that have a square section in just about any size/thickness you desire, and in various levels of hardness and material.
Neoprene, Buna-N, Polyethylene, etc.
You can also get the raw stock, cut what you need and glue the ends together.
