Removal of paint damage

At anchor In Castara Bay Tobago two weeks ago our Océanis 37 (polyester hull) rotated during the night into a local fishing boat. The boats rubbed together and paint from the fishing boat came off on the gelcoat. I don't think the gelcoat is damaged and am looking for a solution to remove the fishing boat's paint without damaging the gelcoat. If anyone has had a similar problem and has a solution please contact me.

Start with a bit of acetone and just rub on the paint, that will remove most of it. Whatever remains use a fine cut polish and you should be good to go.
