Repair Advice

Had an issue when furler forestay must have whipped around on mooring and caused stress fractures at forestay plate. Remove plate, Sanded away and ready to repair, but want to make sure I strengthen the bow so fractures don't occur again. Suggestions on how to reglass (technique/materials/layers) to increase structural integrity. Maybe add a custom G10 backing plate?

TIA
