Replacing jib car tracks

From the dark staining I knew that I had some trouble. 4 of the 30 bolt holes are in rough shape. The rest are ok. Here’s a snap. Planning to excavate…fill with epoxy…then redrill. Will bed in butyl or 3M 4000 or combination of the two. Might have to replace the jib tracks as there is erosion.

Re: Replacing jib car tracks

I suggest you research 3-D leads (Google it) instead of tracks. Easier to use IMO. Also cheaper and lighter to refit. Most new boats your size are going this way instead of tracks.

There may be no reason to remove the old track; you can still use the existing car in a fixed position. Then you add in- or out-hauling with ease.

Re: Replacing jib car tracks

I've seen this. Looks good. Gonna stick to what I have with this boat. Can I get exact replacement jib tracks...1 1/4" x 116 1/2" Ttrack with bolts on 4" centres or do I get something close and make it fit?
