Good info here.

I bought two new turnbuckles which will be used on my shroud uppers, but was noticing the green on the thread fittings of my old turnbuckles.

The have always looked different from what everyone else has so I was wondering.

Now I thinking they are the bronze type turnbuckles which I will reuse

Yes, the two different materials prevent galling
