roll and tip hull painting

G'Day everyone, Has anyone had experience with a process called 'roll and tip' for painting boat hulls? We had a minor accident resulting in cosmetic hull damage and as the hull had previously been painted, our repairer has suggested we use the roll and tip process to keep the price down and stay within the insurers costing. Your experiences please

I did my boat last year and it came out fine. There was a learning curve and we had a couple of sags in the primer coat. Before launching I had several people stop and ask who sprayed it for me. There are several videos of the technique. As with spraying preparation is 90% of the job. If you repairman has done it before I would not hesitate.
