Running Cables Down Inside a Mast

I recently bought a ST60 and am about to mount it on the mast. Before I climb the mast I will contact the manufacturer to find out if I have a separate tube in the mast for cables or if they bounce around. (1983 Storebro Royal 33, Swedish Manufacturer ) I do not hear a constant banging so I think there is a tube they run down.
If there is a tube, comments on how to run the wire down the mast?
If there is not a tube, is the process different.
Thanks Dave

Is there an existing messenger line? If so use it, but make sure you leave it in place for the next time -- there's always a next time.

If there isn't a messenger line, you need to feed one through. If you were replacing an existing wire, you could use it to pull the messenger line through -- again leave it there when you're done. Alternatively, you could pull it through with an existing wire, then pull the old, new, and messenger lines back through all at once.

hth...

Re: Running Cables Down Inside a Mast

I don't think there is an existing messenger line, but I do like the idea of using an existing cable as the messenger line then pull it back up with a new messenger line then thread the new cables. Dave
