Spot repair of deck caulk

Just got done with a full two part scrub down of the teak decks on our new to us Wauquiez. The PO "had the decks 'redone'" about 2 years ago. Overall the teak caulking is in good shape. Sound and level with the teak. In a few spots however the black caulk has pulled out or shows ragged unglued edges. Now understand we're talking about around 4 inches total over the entire deck.

Is it an option to remove a few inches and ooze in some new sika or boat life? when I look on line, EVERYTHING is about redoing entire decks and almost nothing about spot repairs.

I do not know what specific caulk is in there now, neither does the PO since he paid outside help to do it two years ago. If a spot repair is doable, is there a better product, a certain product that is better at adhering to in place but sound caulk?

If it matters the decks are about 1/4-5/16s caulked down without screws.

I'd appreciate any tints or hips as to procedure and pitfalls.

TIA

Kurt

Re: Spot repair of deck caulk

Surely using the techniques for doing a whole deck are the same techniques for a small area? My biggest worry would be to match the products but would you notice if they were not the same?

Teakdecking Systems SIS-440. Seams I redid 12 years ago are still soft and pliable.
