I spent around $200 for a laminate profile preformed by an excellent surveyor to get a better idea of what was going on. It was money well spent. The yard did a double peel on the boat and it set for close to a year on the hard with frequent fresh water flushes. I used the interlux product line for the barrier coats ( 9 layers) and etc.
