Support strut for radar pole

We are having a radar pole installed on our Cape Dory 31. The yard is having problem finding stainless steel struts. he wants to use non stainless and then epoxy. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Don't do it. Stay with a good marine grade stainless steel. If you can't find the part a welding shop could easily make you one.

Fiberglass structural shapes are available, entirely nonmetallic and paintable, I use the stuff wherever I can!
