Teak Bonding

Greetings
I'm in the middle of repairing the floorboards for the salon of our boat.
The teak and holly layer in the teak ply is 3/8" thick, but has lift on a couple of the floorboards, some of the solid teak trim on the edges has separated.
I'm making new trim pieces from solid teak stock and need to bond them and the loose teak and holly part of the plywood.
Any suggestions on what to use to bond these parts back together?

I've used flexible epoxy like G-Flex but a cheaper brand. Coarse sanding then an acetone wash just prior to bonding. The acetone wipes away the natural oils and gives the epoxy a better chance to bite.

Re: Teak Bonding

Boatpoker gives good advice.
I would only add to not "clamp up" for invisible "light tight" joints.
Epoxies need some "room" especially as the surface area of the joint goes down.

Re: Teak Bonding

For gluing teak, Epoxy works best [as noted], especially for large areas, and for smaller areas, two other choices are, Gorilla Glue [moisture cured polyurethane], or Tightbond 2 [Cross-linking polyvinyl acetate, PVA] or 3 [?].
