Tighten windlass bolts

I removed my windlass when I replace the bowsprit and now I'm ready to re-install. I noticed that the long rods wiggle like loose teeth until tightened down. Is this something I need to fix, and if so, how?

Re: Tighten windlass bolts

I would allow/keep the wiggle in the rods to make it easier to put back in place.

If you make them too rigid, they may not go back into the holes as well.

Re: Tighten windlass bolts

My windlass is the same way. They should be good and solid once it's all tightened down and there's some tension on the studs.
