Vinyl Cabinet Liner - keep or paint?

My cabinets are lined with what appears to be embossed vinyl. It's thin with a fabric backing and was glued in place.

I had a leak develop recently and water got behind the material and I had to tear it out. Now I'm wondering whether to try and replace the material of to simply paint the inside area.

I'm not sure that the fabric is thick enough to be providing any sound damping. I'm not sure if this would be preventing condensation.

I'm having a hard time finding an exact replacement.

Should I replace this with some type of liner material - if so, what do you recommend? Or should I paint it and forget it.

My hull has ash ceiling strips. It would be a great look on a traditional boat such as yours. That foam-backed vinyl and AstroTurf is for small powerboats.

I'd probably repair/reline. Even if it doesn't match 100%, painting a rough surface to look well has it's issues also.
There are various diamond patterns out there, this may be it.:
