Washdown pump hose type

I'm about to install a washdown pump (Johnson aquajet 3.5) and I'm wondering what type of hose would be suitable to plumb from the seacock to the pump and from the pump to the deck fitting. I have a bunch of 3/4" Trident 148 sanitation hose leftover from head installation, but it's rated for 28psi so probably won't work for this.

Thoughts?

Re: Washdown pump hose type

The 148 would be ok on the intake side of the pump. For the pressure side I'd use the reinforced vinyl hose they sell for pressurized water applications. It's been doing fine for a few years in my washdown system at about 80 psi (it's rated for significantly more than that).

I just installed a Jabsco 5GPM with 3/4" reinforced sanitation hose before the pump which I also had left over, and regular vinyl reinforced on the outlet side, works well.

Great, maybe I was overthinking this. Are you talking about something like Trident 165 series clear pvc hose (looks like it's rated to 250psi)?

Yup, Trident 165 is exactly what I have on the pressure side of my washdown setup.
