Waterlock Types

Any thoughts on performance of the various types of waterlocks for sailing yachts? Barring special situations that dictate a specific style, often more than one type can be used. For me, available space is the primary driver with price having an effect. I like the Vetus LP and have no direct experience with the Centek Vernalift. For my current project I wanted to use the Vetus LP but the cross bracing above the bilge did not allow sufficient space. So I was going to use the Vetus NLP and mount it by the transmission for a tight fit. But recently I had to gut everything for fuel tank replacement and have the ability to create space for basically any one of those three styles. So now I am looking at performance as a driving factor.
Thoughts?
