Weasel Piss

Is it half acetone, half automatic transmission fluid? I look forward to making some to slather on a nasty group of very rusty transmission bolts. I know, l should pay more attention when Jim Cate swears by something. Honestly, l will from now on.

Re: Weasel Piss

PC, I doubt if the 50:50 mix is very critical, and I suspect that the acetone tends to flash of whilst the stuff sits in the jar anyhow. I keep a small, sealed jar around for easy access, but will mix up a fresh batch if a big project looms.

Good luck with it... I've got more faith in its use on rusted ferrous metals (like your tranny) than on stainless/aluminium corrosion issues, but it is always worth a try!

Thanks for the details on the mix and use of Weasel Piss, Jim and Ann. If it's efficacy is as winning as it's name this task is already half finished. It's a great name for a potent rust buster.

No, I do believe I first heard the moniker from Jim C.

For partingclouds, as Jim states, the acetone flashes off pretty quick. I mix it in small batches with a tight fitting lid. It doesn't mix well so needs a good shake before applying and then further shaking and further application as required.

I concur with Jim's viewpoint -
