In our Bermuda 40 I used A satin exterior varnish on all mahogany bulkhead surfaces, gloss exterior varnish on trim. I chose exterior varnish because at some point almost all surfaces will evetually get some sunlight and I wanted it to last as long as possible. The previous varnish was original from 1973- I re-did it in ‘08, though it was ready for it a couple years before.
