Which brand of sliding doors do I have?

The solid plastic sliders of our sliding doors are worn out and need to be replaced. I would like to contact the unknown manufacturer. Can someone point me in the right direction?
The boat is a Switch 51 catamaran of 2003. This model was produced from 1999 until 2007, in the south of France by Sud Composites. The sliding doors have probably been made by a company in France or Italy.
Thanks for your help.

Don't know the brand but it appears you are missing the roller.
Those are generic items, designed to be replaced.

Any glass repair or locksmith shop should be able to fix it or steer in the right direction.

The fuzzy weather stripping looks exactly like the type we use in Canada, made by Shlegel.

Assa Abloy is a major european supplier of sliding door and window hardware.

Re: Which brand of sliding doors do I have?

Hi 5BTM, regretfully this sliding door has not been designed with rollers, but with (now wornout) plastic sliders. The door profile seems too narrow, and the lower frame not suitable, to install rollers.
I download the Assa Abloy catalog, but saw nothing comparable.
I will try to look into domestic sliding door makers instead of only for marine door. Thanks for this suggestion.

Re: Which brand of sliding doors do I have?

They look pretty similar to the doors on our old-school Outremer. I fashioned new glides from a small piece of HDPE. For the track side used a round file about 8mm to cut the groove, the rest was just a saw and flat file. Took about 30 minutes.

Pretty much any reasonably lubricious plastic will do - HDPE, Delrin, Ertalyte, Teflon. Some will last longer than others, but our replacements in HDPE have been in for five years.

Might see if anything there would fit, or see if anyone can tell you what the French would call a “sliding door glide” because I suspect searching in French would be more fruitful.

Another option would be a couple of small pieces of lignum vitae.

Re: Which brand of sliding doors do I have?

PippaB, thanks for your answer.
The glides shown in your links are too different; my glides have a horizontal screw which somehow lock them to the door, not a vertical screw like the ones shown in your link.
I have searched using "glissière pour porte coulissante". That showed a lot of images, but not what I need.
I am hesitating to take the complete door apart; we are in Alaska, it is pretty cold here, we really need the door; and there is not much available here like a workshop with plastic and machines. Also the shape of the slides is not a simple block; they are narrower at the bottom side, and can only slide out at the ends of the profile.

I would have to take the bottom aluminium profile off, which requires force in case the acrylic is glued in.
On the other hand, the scraping noise of aluminium on aluminium is pretty bad.....
I have asked a friend who has bought 2 new Outremers from the boatyard, hoping he has good after-sales contact.
The quest goes on. Thanks again!

Close up of the slides

Notice the screw. Maybe a strange coarse thread for plastic.
Can only be taken out at the ends of the profile
