Which material is most resistant to hard growth.

I want to machine up some guides and runners that will be permanently below the waterline. I like the plastics for weight and cost and ease of machining.

I'm familiar with materials such as acetyl but I'm not sure about hard growth, I think soft growth will self clean as the runners travel but hard growth may jamb.

Does anyone know of any data on this.

TIA
Dave

Some plastics swell if continually immersed.
Worth "bearing" in mind
