White Paint Over Black - Pettit Vivid

Hello all, I had done a bit of reading about painting white over black and couldn't find a concrete answer about its feasibility. So, I just wanted to post my findings.

We had a black ablative bottom coat of some unknown type. We sanded with drywall mesh sandpaper attached to a shop vac. We used a hepa filter in the shop vac and a collection bag. This basically eliminated ALL dust, outstanding.

Then in accordance with Pettit's instructions we wiped the ENTIRE boat with 120 thinner.

Two coats with w 3/16in nap roller (the thickest allowed) and we completely covered the black!
