Xintex sniffer wet

On passage the Xintex sniffer (S2A) was flooded then had a wet roll of paper towels sitting on it for a few days. We have allowed it to dry out for another few days. It still alarms when we put the fuse in. Do these things dry out or can I replace the sensor easily? I installed the system a year ago and had been working fine. Thanks

Test it with a lighter or propane torch (light it and then blow the flame out).

Re: Xintex sniffer wet

Was it salt or fresh water?
If salt, disconnect it, thoroughly rinse it in fresh water and put in the sun for a complete dry cycle. It will probably work.
