Yanmar SD-20 diaphragm band 235

Does anybody know if I can replace this band without having to separate the saildrive? Is it similar to a hose clamp?

If your referring to the large outer band Inside the engine well, then yes. I've even known a few who used 2 or 3 really large hose clamps as opposed to the standard yanmar band

I used a large hose clamp myself, but think the Yanmar part can be installed as well, provided you have the tool to crimp the clamp.
