Your Cockpit Cushions ?

Last set we had made for our prior boat was Drain Dry foam covered in a tight weave mesh material. They were very comfortable, did not stain easily from sunscreen etc and best of all could be left out in the rain. I looked at the bottomsiders/C-cusions and thought they would probably hold up well to the weather but were way to hard for my likes. Also the thought of hot vinyl did not appeal to me. The set for our Ericson 38 were $700 but that included a rather custom shaped one for the helm seat that was humped in the middle. Made by Canvas Creations in Annapolis and completed very quickly. We did not leave the cushions out all summer long but as long as we were on the boat they stayed out. The water did not stay in them, but after a good rain you did need to stand them on end to drain for a bit.

right now we are using several of the folding cushions from WM that lock in various positions, but eventually we will get another set of the drain dry version.
