Bahamas check out / Dominican Republic check in

Hello all, sorry if this has already been covered. With Bahamas checkout going online - no need to go to an office, you can just check out with click2clear, I知 wondering if that satisfies entrance requirements to the Dominican Republic. Does a print out of click2clear satisfy the zarpa requirements or should I do something else while still in the Bahamas?

Thanks!

Probably nobody knows ...?
I am not too sure either, but I wouldn't worry too much and just come here with your print-out. But you need your passport stamped for departure, that is something that they want to see here.
You are probably already here anyways, how did it go?

I知 in Mayaguana right now. At the local administration building I was told the same thing you mentioned below - that DR wants an exit stamp on your passport. Mayaguana is no longer an immigration office, so I値l need to get that done elsewhere. I was also told that Turks & Caicos doesn稚 need one, so I guess I値l stop though there on the way.

Re: Bahamas check out / Dominican Republic check in

We ended up sailing from Mayaguana to T&C. Did not get an exit stamp on our passport from the Bahamas. T&C didn't care, and then when I checked out of T&C (just a few days later, I basically sailed right through) I got everything I needed for entry into DR. I don't know if anything has changed since thing - people I talked to in Mayaguana were trying to get it to become a port again, but in hindsight, I should have officially cleared out of the Bahamas sooner.

Yes and yes. Don't try and shave the issue here. The DR (or any other country) as zeero incentive to help you along. Get all your clearance paperwork done BEFORE you leave.

I KNOW of boats that have been refused entry and sent back to get exit clearance they did not have. It has not happened to us because we are careful about these things.

We completely understand that some countries are more uptight about this than others. But unless you know for sure ahead of time, get all our paperwork right. It will make your life easier.

As per Dominican Republic law, vessels calling at Dominican Republic ports require a complete Dominican Republic consular despatch [‘Despacho]], from each loading port, as well as from the last foreign port of call.
