Birth Certificate

Is there any reason I should take my birth certificate while cruising internationally?

Re: Birth Certificate

Then you have to have a passport and a (normal) passport will do everhthing a birth cert will do and more.. ..unless you plan to get married or immigrate somewhere.....

Re: Birth Certificate

No, passport only is sufficient (make back up copies).

The only typical international use for a BC is if applying for residency/marriage somehwere...and then you will also need a lot of other documents so having the BC only is pointless.

Re: Birth Certificate

I have always traveled with a certified copy of my BC.

Has come in handy when my passport needs replacing, and as mentioned for marriages and registering births of my spawn.
