Courtesy Flags for Eastern Caribbean

Im planning a cruise through the eastern caribbean this fall as was wondering if anyone had an affordable source for courtesy flags? Landfall Navigation seems to get about $22/ea and Im wondering if this is something to get here in the US or just pick them up along the way?

Open to a deal on used flags from anyone out there too!

Thanks,.

Sew your own or, in a pinch, get some magic markers and make your own.

Re: Courtesy Flags for Eastern Caribbean

I had a book that showed how to make flags of all the Eastern Caribbean islands, complete with detailed instructions and patterns for the designs on them. Check out Bluewater Books website. Mine was called Courtesy Flags Made Easy by Mary Conger - I have no idea if it has been updated. If it hasn't I'm sure someone has done a newer one. However, I found all the designs still valid when I came back to land 5 years ago.

Send me an email through my website with a list of the flags you need and I'll be glad to quote you.

Go here: International Stick Flags 12 x 18 inch

$2 each and they last a month in the trade winds. Expensive ones last 1.5 months. Remove the sticks, run a string through them for connecting to a halyard and tack it with a stitch. It is all we use for every place we go.

Re: Courtesy Flags for Eastern Caribbean

I just used suitably sized flags or bandanas from the nearest market.
