Alas, Gib is now in Schengen and no longer an escape for 90-in-180. Can I suggest you try my solution… marry a woman with an Irish passport - Schengen days don’t count if travelling with an EU spouse (but be very anal in keeping records and evidence!).

Just re-read your reply… are you saying that the Gib fuel dock is outside Schengen even though the rock is?

The situation is Gib doesn’t process entry exit if you just refuel there. It’s one of those anomalies , dont look too closely.

Gibraltar is not yet in Schengen and non EU citizen's gets a stamp on entry and exit at La Linea.

Re: Refuelling & Customs - Mediterranean

TudorSailor, no prblm, easy to miss on a long thread. I never rcd any reply/ack from Haddock or OldAlaskanSalt. Hope they found what they were looking for.

Sure, the CA has lots of advantages and so many benefits/discounts that they pay for the cost of annual membership. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Re: Refuelling & Customs - Mediterranean

Thanks for your contributions. After much thought I have decided that the potential hassle of the 5 days it saves from my allowed 90 days I am not going to bother and just get to my destination 5 days earlier.
Thanks again.
