Shares in a boat?

I have a Catalina 27 in pretty darn good shape. But now I have to work in an inland city for a year. So I can only sail like 4 times a year. Does anyone have experience in offering a boat up for common use?

How do you "sell shares" so that others can sail your boat and pay for some maintenence? Are there boat managers who can keep boats in shape? Is there insurance for such a thing?

I'm in California.

Any information is welcome and desired.
