I am buying a sailboat but it will be on my mother's name which means she will pay for the boat.

I need help knowing if in that situation I will need to make the boat insurance on her name?

Also, how should i handle on migration when I show the boat's documents on her name and she is not there?

Should she provide any notarized document to me?

Yes, all documents, insurance etc should be in your mother's name, and she needs to give you a letter of authorization stating that you are the boat's captain and authorized to make repairs, contract for marine services and (if needed) navigate international waters.
